Concerning Huntington-Games
General Questions
Huntington is the capital of the imagined region of Calidulpia, located on the fictional continent of Patroria – the Land of Heroes. Patroria forms the foundation of an independent game world in which political structures, social roles, and human decisions take center stage.
The world surrounding Huntington was created over a period of more than ten years. During this time, it was first conceived, further developed, put down on paper, and finally transferred step by step into the digital realm. From initial ideas, a coherent world emerged with clearly defined regions, peoples, and rules.
Huntington serves as the central element of this world. As the capital of Calidulpia, the city represents order, administration, and decisions that have consequences for all of Patroria. It is not a single setting for one story, but the starting point of an entire game series that is being released gradually.
The Huntington board game series by Fox Hunt Game is based on this world. Each game explores different aspects of the world of Patroria, while Huntington remains the unifying center. The detailed stories, background lore, and individual narrative threads are deliberately expanded upon elsewhere and explored further in the accompanying blog.
The series begins with “Huntington – Even Bandits Wanna Get Home!”.

The Huntington games are a board game series set in a shared world. Each Huntington game is a standalone title with its own mechanics and focus – but together they gradually reveal more about the same locations, factions, and events. You can play individual games independently and discover the series step by step.
For “Huntington – Even Bandits Wanna Get Home!”, the playing time is usually between 45 minutes and 2 hours. The decisive factor is primarily how many pawns are in play – this tends to extend the game more than the sheer number of players. Since each Huntington installment works differently and can be influenced by random events to varying degrees, playtimes of more than 2 hours are also possible in exceptional cases. For Part 1, however, you can usually plan on around 1 hour.
The entry is deliberately beginner-friendly: In “Huntington – Even Bandits Wanna Get Home!”, the basic flow is based on a very familiar logic similar to “Mensch ärgere dich nicht” / Ludo. You roll the die, take turns clockwise, and place or move your pawn(s). If you land on certain spaces, this triggers rules, cards, or events that you simply follow. This way, you get into the game quickly – the depth then emerges from what happens along the way.
Yes. In the SHOP drop-down menu, there is a sub-item called “Rulebooks”(/spielanleitungen).
There, you can download the rulebook for each game on your own. You can choose between the formats (DIN) A4 or A5.
In A5 format, the pages are prepared so you can fold them into a small booklet.
For a folded A5 booklet, print double-sided: pages 1 and 2 go on the same sheet (1 front, 2 back), pages 3 and 4 on the next sheet, and so on. Then fold – done.
To download the rulebooks, simply click the button next to your desired language.
Yes – you need at least 1 ten-sided die (D10) and 6 pawns each in the colors black, green, red, white, blue, and yellow.
There is a game components set available as a download (also for future Huntington games) that includes 6 D10 dice in the pawn colors as well as 6 pawns each in black, green, red, white, blue, and yellow. You (http://yellow.You)can download this set from my website and assemble it yourself – or simply use your own materials.
Some games and expansions also use special dice or special figures. These special components are always included with the respective game or expansion.
